Even though the people responsible will never see this, I just want to put a "thank you" out there for the gracious family that paid for our Valentine's dinner last night.

Each year, the couple dines at this seafood restaurant in West Seattle and picks two couples out of the crowd and pays for their entire meal. The operations manager came to our table last night and shared with us that the couple had chosen us. I was literally moved to tears! I couldn't believe it! What an amazing act of kindness coming from strangers that know nothing about us just wanting to do something special. They also chose a young high school aged couple in addition to us and I am sure that there was a sense of relief on their faces as the waitress said they were having trouble picking off the special Valentine's three course meal that the restaurant had. Of course we weren't in the same predicament. We knew how much it cost to dine there as we had a wonderful dining experience two years ago on Valentine's Day and chose to dine there again this year. With the three course meal, bottle of wine and added appetizer, with tax and tip, the bill would probably be around $200. We came there expecting to pay that, however, were so surprised and thankful that someone wanted to bless us with a free meal!

Those small, random acts of kindness are so awe inspiring and I intend to pay if forward some day!
